Anti-Static Filament
Advanced conductive monofilament technology for static dissipation and ESD protection
AntiStat: Static Protection Excellence
AntiStat protects from sparks with a polyester-based bi-component monofilament featuring antistatic properties. It is used in woven or spiral process belts in various industries, providing reliable static dissipation and safety.
Primary Applications
- Wherever dissipation of electrostatic charges is needed
- Process and conveyor belts
- Nonwoven forming fabrics
- Dryer for particle board and wood pellets
- Di-electric shielding of high voltage cables
Technical Specifications
- Bi-component with perfect core/sheath adhesion
- Thermo-mechanical properties matching PET
- Available in diameters from 0.30 – 2.50 mm
- 4 different shrinkage levels
- Volume resistivity ≤ 250 Ω x cm
- HPS (high pressure shower) / hydrolysis resistant grades available
- Fulfils the requirements of ATEX Directive 04/2024
Material Composition
AntiStat is a core/sheath bi-component monofilament. The core consists of polyester and the sheath is made of a polyester-based polymer filled with carbon black. The two polymers are co-extruded which ensures excellent core-sheath adhesion and prevents the release of carbon black particles during fabrication.
Performance Benefits
AntiStat dissipates electrostatic charges, thereby improving process stability and reducing explosion hazards in line with the ATEX Directive for explosive atmospheres. It can also be used for dielectric shielding of high voltage cables, making it ideal for sensitive industrial environments.
Compliance & Standards
Our Anti-Static filaments meet all international standards for ESD protection and are compliant with ATEX regulations for use in explosive atmospheres. Available in grades for both woven fabrics and spiral fabrics.
Key Advantages
- Perfect core/sheath adhesion
- ESD compliant performance
- Multiple shrinkage options
- ATEX certified for safety
- Hydrolysis resistant variants
